Covid 19-Creatives in Place: Lonestar Soccer Club Kit Launch

Both my kids play soccer with Lonestar Soccer Club, here in Austin TX, and they have done for a number of years now. Lonestar is launching a new kit this summer, switching brands from Nike to Adidas, and featuring sponsors Dell Children's Hospital and Soccer.com. I’m happy to see that Austin FC, Austin's incumbent professional soccer team, are also lending grass-roots support to Lonestar.

Due to lockdown measures, Lonestar were struggling to come up with assets for their website and promotional materials. I was happy to collaborate with them on this, courtesy of the patience and excitement of my two lads.
Like many in the creative, advertising and editorial worlds, I’m trying to create work within the limitations of work-in-place guidelines, using models (family!) and locations at hand.

These few images are a selection from many I made over the course of two days, early in the pandemic lockdown. Since then, it's become clear that the landscape for professional photographers and photo producers has shifted. I was able to pull this off due to the intimate nature of the shoot - me, plus immediate family - but for larger productions, particularly those that take place in a studio, a whole set of policies and procedures need to be put in place to accommodate agency work.
I'm currently busy putting these procedures in place, creating clear production guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone on set.
